Desperate for any allies outside the politician’s deadly grip, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to bring the powerful leader down. 5.0 out of 5 stars FAST PACED –“ABC OF CORRUPTION – ALL YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT!!!”
What a book on corruption, politicians, bureaucrats, police, mercenaries….. The heartless, selfish, single minded politician aspiring to become the next president of Philippines, his private army, his manipulation of bureaucrats, politicians, judiciary and police are all vividly portrayed. What is portrayed is not imagination but largely facts of what is happening in many of the third world countries around the world. Consuelo, the aspirant for Presidency, comes out as a true to life politician; the twists and turns during electioneering, his ultimate exposure and end caused by a small character – Paul – is so well inter woven. The changes in scenes and characters between paragraphs shows the skills of Arthur Crandon as an excellent story teller who keeps the readers fully gripped through out the book. The ending is a class by itself… read and enjoy like I did!
